2. The service

SortedSam is a home inventory management app for Android. It lets you catalogue your household items using a hierarchical structure (Home → Room → Closet → Box → Item), attach photos, print QR stickers, and share access with household members.

3. Eligibility

The Home Manager — the account holder responsible for a Home's billing — must be at least 16 years old. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement. Other members invited to a Home by its Home Manager are not required to independently meet this age threshold; the Home Manager is responsible for ensuring such invitations are appropriate (for example, a parent adding a child to a Family plan).

4. Subscriptions and billing

Subscriptions are tied to a "Home" (a shared workspace), not to individual user accounts. The Home Manager is responsible for billing. Subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing.

Available plans (billed monthly or yearly):

Prices are set in EUR and shown converted to your local currency by Google Play. The price you are charged is the price displayed by Google Play at checkout, which may vary by region and is subject to change — always confirm current pricing in the Google Play Store listing before purchasing.

After the 30-day trial, the Home Manager must choose a paid plan to continue. If the Home has more members at trial end than the chosen plan allows, that plan is not available until members are removed.

5. Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers)

If you are a consumer located in the EU/EEA, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a subscription purchase within 14 days without giving a reason, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU). However, SortedSam grants access to paid features immediately upon purchase. By subscribing, you expressly request that we begin providing the service immediately, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once that performance has begun, as permitted under Article 16(m) of the Directive.

This is separate from, and does not limit, the cancellation and refund terms in Section 6 below.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time via Google Play. Refunds are subject to Google Play's refund policy. Upon cancellation or expiry with no renewal, the Home enters a 3-week read-only grace period. If no subscription is purchased within that period, all Home data is permanently deleted.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use SortedSam to: store or transmit unlawful content; attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent any security measure; use automated scripts to access the service in ways that could impair its performance; or impersonate another person.

8. Data and content ownership

You retain ownership of all content you add to SortedSam. By using the service, you grant SortedSam a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, transmit, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the service. We will not sell, share, or use your content for any other purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

SortedSam is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for: data loss resulting from device failure or account deletion; service interruptions; or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the total subscription fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Belgium. If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA, this does not deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may also bring proceedings before the courts of your own country of residence.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email to your registered address at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of SortedSam after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
